    Amendment notification of the licencing of Produce Brokers Act, No. 9 of 1979 – Ministry of Plantations

    – by the repeal of regulation 9 thereof and substitution therefore of the following new regulation :-

    – “9. (1) the license fee payable for a license to carry on the business of a produce broker shall be rupees one million.

    – (2) all fees levied under Sub regulation (1) above, shall be credited to the Capital Fund established under Section 14 of the Sri Lanka Tea Board Law, No. 14 of 1975.”

    Notification of the Repatriation of Export Proceeds into Sri Lanka Rules No.03 of 2021 – Central Bank of Sri Lanka

    – Every exporter of goods shall, within thirty (30) days upon the receipt of such export proceeds into Sri Lanka as required under Rule 3 above, convert Ten per centum (10%) from and out of the total of the said exports proceeds received in Sri Lanka into Sri Lanka Rupees, through a licensed bank.

    – Provided, however, that such date of conversion, shall not be a date later than the date before which the export proceeds shall be received in Sri Lanka as required by Rule 3 (i) above (i. e., not later than One Hundred and Eighty (180) days from the date of shipment).”

    Motor Traffic (Temporary Extension of the Validity Period of Driving License) Regulations No. 1 of 2021-Ministry of Transport

    The validity period of every Driving License issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic under Part VII of the Motor Traffic Act (Chapter 203), which is due to expire within the period commencing from 1st of April, 2021 and ending 30th of September, 2021 as specified in such Driving License, shall hereby be extended for six (06) months from the date of such expiry.
